Frequently Asked Questions

Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic approach making use of a pool to support rehabilitation, pain relief, and physical recovery. It benefits muscles and joints, making it ideal for individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Our Kinesiologists in Burnaby specialize in Hydrotherapy to help regain strength and mobility.

Overview

Hydrotherapy services are available through our Metrotown location. Sessions take place at the Bonsor Community Centre.

Overview

Yes, if you have limited mobility or balance issues. It is a safe, low-impact form of exercise that can improve flexibility, strength, and mobility. Hydrotherapy may be an excellent addition to your Active Rehab program.

Overview

Your first appointment begins with a complimentary 15-30 minute phone consultation with a Kinesiologist. They'll discuss your symptoms, health history, and exercise experience. Your Kinesiologist will then work with you to schedule 30-45 minute sessions at one of our partnered recreation centres.

Overview

Most treatment goals can't be achieved in just one session! Your therapist will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan based on your goals to help you feel better and achieve lasting results.

Each appointment builds on the last, helping to reduce your symptoms, address the root cause of the issue, and support your long-term health.

Overview

Techniques include low-impact aquatic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance, as well as buoyancy-assisted stretching. Hydrotherapy allows for a wide range of motion without straining joints, resistance training in water helps build muscle strength, and hydrostatic pressure reduces swelling and improves circulation.

Overview

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations will be charged to the patient at 50% of the appointment cost, and no shows will be charged to the patient at 100% of the appointment cost.

Please note that insurers, including ICBC, will not pay for late cancellation fees.
