FAQ for WSBC (WorkSafeBC) Claims

At this time, we only direct bill WorkSafeBC (WSBC) for physiotherapy services. For information about other treatment types, please contact your WorkSafeBC case manager directly.

  • If your injury or surgery date is within 60 days: If your claim is “approved” or “pending,” you are automatically approved for your first physiotherapy visit. If you’re unsure about your claim status, no problem! Just provide us with your WSBC claim number, date of injury, and PHN (care card) number, and we’ll happily verify for you.
  • If your injury or surgery date is more than 60 days ago: We’ll need to contact WorkSafeBC to get pre-approval for your first visit before your appointment. Please call or email us with your WSBC claim number, date of injury, PHN (care card) number, and case manager information as soon as possible, and we’ll handle the rest.
  • WorkSafeBC typically covers a “treatment period” of up to 15 physiotherapy visits over 6 weeks. If you require additional treatment beyond this, your physiotherapist can request approval from WSBC. We’ll keep you informed if and when additional treatment is approved.

No! WorkSafeBC funds approved physiotherapy sessions in full, so there are no additional costs to you.

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations will be charged to the patient at 50% of the appointment cost, and no shows will be charged to the patient at 100% of the appointment cost.

Please contact your WorkSafeBC case manager directly for more information regarding other treatment types or services.
