Understanding Your ICBC Benefits

ICBC provides immediate access to various therapy services following a motor vehicle accident, with no referral needed and no upfront costs at Total Therapy

What ICBC services am I pre-approved for?

In the first 12 weeks following your accident date, you have immediate access to:

25 Chiropractic sessions
12 Massage Therapy sessions
12 Kinesiology Active Rehab sessions
12 Acupuncture sessions
12 Clinical Counselling sessions

If you have already received treatment for your injury at another clinic, be sure to let us know prior to your first appointment so we can confirm remaining coverage. If you are approaching or have passed your session limit or end date and require more treatment, we are happy to submit a request for further treatment to ICBC on your behalf. Additional coverage is provided at ICBC's discretion. We will notify you as soon as any new ICBC coverage is approved.

What happens to my ICBC coverage after the first 12 weeks?

We know the road to recovery can be long, and we're here to help you every step of the way. After 12 weeks, if you need additional treatment for any service, we are happy to submit a request for further treatment on your behalf. Additional coverage is provided at ICBC's discretion, and we will notify you as soon as any new ICBC coverage is approved. All approved ICBC sessions at Total Therapy are user fee free, ensuring you can focus on healing without financial stress.

How many Physiotherapy sessions am I approved for under my ICBC claim?

In the first 12 weeks following your accident date, you have immediate access to 25 fully funded physiotherapy sessions. If you have already received Physiotherapy treatment for your injury at another clinic, be sure to let us know prior to your first appointment.

How many Registered Massage Therapy sessions am I approved for under my ICBC claim?

In the first 12 weeks following your accident date, you have immediate access to 12 fully funded Registered Massage Therapy sessions. If you have already received Registered Massage Therapy treatment for your injury at another clinic, be sure to let us know prior to your first appointment.

How many Kinesiology sessions am I approved for under my ICBC claim?

In the first 12 weeks following your accident date, you have immediate access to 12 fully funded Kinesiology sessions. If you have already received Kinesiology treatment for your injury at another clinic, be sure to let us know prior to your first appointment.

No-Stress Billing Process

At Total Therapy, we've eliminated the financial burden of accident recovery by offering user fee FREE services for all ICBC-approved treatments.

Are ICBC services user fee FREE?

We're proud to offer no user fees on ICBC-approved sessions, allowing you to focus on what matters most—your recovery.

Do you direct bill ICBC for services?

Yes, as part of ICBC's Recovery Network, we direct bill ICBC for approved sessions, meaning there are no out of pocket expenses for your ICBC treatments.

What if my injury was as a result of a motor vehicle accident while working?

If your injury occurred during a motor vehicle accident while you were working, both ICBC and WorkSafeBC (WSBC) may be involved in your claim. Typically, WSBC will be the primary insurer. Please contact us with your claim details, and we can help guide you through the process.

Please note we ONLY offer Physiotherapy WSBC services at Total Therapy.

Do you offer direct billing to other insurers for ICBC services?

No, we cannot direct bill another insurer for treatment if you have an open ICBC claim. Once your claim has resolved, then we are able to resume direct billing to your other insurer(s).

Cancellation Policy

We understand injuries and pain disrupt your life. Our cancellation policy respects your time while ensuring you get the consistent care needed for recovery.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations will be charged to the patient at 50% of the appointment cost, and no shows will be charged to the patient at 100% of the appointment cost.

Please note that insurers, including ICBC, will not pay for late cancellation fees.
