My approach to therapy is trauma informed, evidence and strength based. My goal is to help equip clients with skills that help them get unstuck and collaboratively guide them on a path of living within their values to become the person they want to be.
My work as a therapist is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

A first counselling session with me is a good time for clients to share what brought them to therapy. Clients will explore some of their expectations and will work collaboratively with me to create some goals. It is my objective to create a validating compassionate environment where clients feel seen and heard. An initial session is also a great time for clients to ask me any questions or talk about any concerns they may have.

I enjoy when clients start making connections the most. When they become aware of how they think/behave and connect it with other areas. This process can be very enlightening for many people, and disrupts the automatic patterns that we sometimes have.
